Artist Statement:
I identify as a queer, "intuitive" visual artist. I remember gazing into the vast Dakota grasslands for hours as a child and attentively studying the nuances of the various seasons' hues, textures, and forms. Now, I incorporate those memories within the many layers of a painting, inviting the viewer to draw inspiration from the vast and bleak landscapes that my impressionistic young mind once conjured up in order to explore deeper self-discoveries.
